I have five sisters, and one brother. I am #5 in the pecking order. There are seamstresses, painters, and established artist among us. Art and the desire to be creative have always been the driving force in our family. Although my primary interests in college were marketing and business law, creative endeavors have been the driving force in my life as well. I started sewing at age 8 on my grandmother’s treadle sewing machine. I ran the needle through my finger and was taken to the hospital! I have been “hooked” on sewing ever since. I am a member of the Lake Gogebic Community Quilters in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as well as the Agave Quilters in Sun Lakes, Arizona . My hobbies are sewing, gardening, canning, the study of history, and antiquing. History has always captivated me. It is the soul and story of everything we live, eat and touch. Being able to visualize that story is essential to me. So many details get lost through time, and it is my goal to bring those details to life for you through my embroidery designs. I remember walking through Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage in Nashville, Tennessee , and wishing I could replicate some of the items in my home. Through embroidery design I have been able to create the feelings and textures of that era in my home. My love for antiques and visualizing historical events has inspired me to create moments in time. Everything has a story and meaning to me. When I quilt, make a table runner, or just decorate a room...........everything becomes a conversation piece from the past. All of my designs are tested, and re-tested before being offered to you. I provide complete customer service, and will always respond to you to address any questions that you may have.
